Hermann Park is located in the southwest of downtown, occupying 165 acres of land and surounded by Texas Medical Center, Rice University, Houston Zoo and numerous museums.
This park is in fact the center of tourist destinations in the Houston downtown area.
The statue of Hermann, who donated to establish this park, stands on the southwest corner, while Sam Houston statue stands on the northeast corner. On the Montrose Street (north side of the park), there are several small restaurants offering foods with different styles.
